Getting Back to Work in the Cruise Line Industry

Time to Sail, for both you and me!

Answers 4 Dancers recently interviewed me as I went back to the work in the cruise line industry, teaching production shows for Norwegian Creative Studios. Getting back to work with all the panache these shows have to offer brings me joy…and relief.

The pandemic rocked the entertainment industry, and froze the cruise line industry. Every performer and creative I know lost nearly all their work at the same time I did. Some found new, fulfilling jobs elsewhere, but I hustled in a small town. I made ends meet, keeping hope alive that my work, and my industries, would restart sooner than later. Now that my work is finally coming back, I wanted to share tips for emerging performance professionals so they can successfully embark on their cruise adventures.

With my experience teaching shows for Norwegian Cruise Lines and Regent Seven Seas, and creating events for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, I will soon be adding Oceania Cruise Lines to my resume as a director for the Oceania Insignia production shows. I am thrilled and grateful to be working again, and for all those performers out there, GET READY! Cruise lines need your talent and your positivity onboard to wow cruise ship guests anxious and happy to get back to sailing.
